Improvement
Certn is now an in-house certified IDSP for Enhanced DBS
Certn has achieved certification as an Identity Document Verification Service Provider (IDSP) under the UK's Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF), and we're now using that certification to power DBS Enhanced checks directly, no third-party vendor required. This gives us greater control over the experience and lays the groundwork for meaningful improvements ahead.
Enhanced DBS checks are now available
If you're screening UK candidates who need a higher level of criminal record check, you can now run DBS Enhanced directly through CertnCentric. DBS Enhanced is the most thorough level of DBS check, covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings. It's often a critical requirement for roles in healthcare, education, and social services sectors and is one of the most commonly requested checks for regulated industries in the UK.
International Credit Checks
Expand your credit screening coverage across global hiring. International Credit Checks in CertnCentric allow your team to review a candidate's credit history across supported countries, helping you identify adverse financial events that may be relevant for roles involving financial responsibility or trust. In addition to existing U.S. and Canadian coverage, your team can now order credit checks in the UK and other supported international countries.

Improvement
Client portal updates: faster candidate management and case search
We've shipped a few highly requested improvements to make managing candidates and finding cases quicker and easier across the client portal. You can now resend a candidate invitation in one click, keep your search active as you move between tabs, and surface cases faster as you type. Each change is small on its own, but together they cut out a lot of repetitive clicking and help teams move through high volumes of cases with less effort.

- Resend a candidate invitation directly from the Cases page using 'Resend Invite' in the case actions menu, available for any candidate who hasn't yet submitted their check
- Search now persists across the 'Active', 'Review', and 'Done' tabs, so you enter it once and check every status without retyping
- Case search runs automatically after three characters, matching on candidate name or email
Improvement
Workable ATS integration now supports EMEA and APAC regions
If your team hires through Workable, you can now connect it to CertnCentric no matter where you operate. Until now this integration was only available to customers in North America. It is now live for EMEA and APAC, so more teams can launch background checks straight from Workable, keep candidate records in sync, and cut out the manual jumping between systems. Same connected hiring workflow, now in a lot more places.

The New Zealand Ministry of Justice criminal history check is now faster and easier to order in CertnCentric. Candidates can now submit their required documents directly through the online application flow, replacing a previously manual, offline process. Results are automatically updated to the case once received, with no-disclosable and disclosable outcomes surfaced directly to clients.
